Professionals from first call to after service. I’ve been renovating a very old house and have had 20-30 different trades involved. These guys are the best. On average, the internal parts of a toilet, such as the Buttons (Flush Mechinisim) and fill valve, should be replaced every 4-5 years. However, this can vary based on the quality of the parts and the frequency of use. We have seen internal parts that have lasted 20 years!
A persistent foul odor can be a sign of a broken seal or a blockage in the vent pipe. It’s essential to address this issue promptly to prevent sewer gases from entering your home.
If you are confident, start by using a plunger to try and dislodge the blockage. If that doesn’t work, we highly recommend that you call a professional plumber. Avoid using chemical drain cleaners as they can damage the pipes and are harmful to the environment.
A gurgling sound can indicate a blockage in the drain line or a problem with the venting system. It’s essential to address this issue to ensure proper drainage and prevent potential backups.
